Module 4 Lesson 3: Surfing the Web

Introduction

In today’s fast paced and hyperconnected world, we cannot do without the internet. A lot of people panic when there is an internet outage for just a few minutes, because of the many things they now rely on the internet to achieve, and the fact that they have been cut off from the world.

As important and valuable as the internet is, we have established that there is ample opportunity for abuse because the internet was mainly built with functionality in mind, leaving little room for security. In this lesson, we will consider ways to ensure we are accessing the internet securely.

2. Understand Virtual Private Networks as Digital Security tools
3. Leverage application permissions for privacy
4. Protect their assets and themselves
